40s Traveler's Club. A grown folk time for friends and family to get together and let down our hair. Put the jobs on hold and the kids in safe place, cause this is all about YOU. We get together annually excited to create great memories, share fun stories, and fellowship with some of our favorite people.
Must you be 40?The 40s TC was founded in 2016, the year Andre and I turned 40!!!
1976 was a GREAT YEAR! Stamps were .13, the price of eggs was .69, the 1st episode of Rocky aired, and Myesha Rikkell Carter and Andre Whitman Thornton, blessed Mother Earth. When I was turning 40, I immediately thought of getting old. But WHY? After all, they say 40 is the new 30, right, but is it? I then realized: 40 is a state of mind. A state where we have evolved into ourselves and our careers, worked hard to buy our own car, get out our parents house and BUY OUR OWN LIQUOR! I formed the 40s TC by not just celebrating MY birthday but by celebrating a group of like minded friends, all born in 1976, which was what we all had in common. The group of 50 was made up of friends and family from all walks of life, coming together to celebrate those of us, TURNING 40! While celebrating 1976, in the pool, at the foam party, with a beverage, Carline said "Myesha, this is so much fun, we should do it every year." This is when we realized 40, was merely a "State of mind." Our group of 50 ranged from 25 to 63 years old and everyone came together and had an ABSOLUTE BALL. |

Who are the 40s Travelers?Our travelers are made up of, friends and family. An exclusive group of professional men and women, some parents, some not, some younger, some older, some party animals and some bookworms.
